Chandi jaisa rang hai tere, and mohe aayi na jag se laaj, are two of Pankaj Udhas' popular and hit ghazals. I liked those too. It had been ages since I heard his voice.

it's my very favorite of P.U. I really love this ghazal.
I loved to sing this ghazal during my college's function days.
Contemporary ghazals of PU also I like very much the following numbers:
Chand chamka hai chandni ke liye
Chandi jaisa rang hai tera
dard ki baarish sahi
Ghunghroo tut gaye
Sabko maalom hai mein sharabi etc ghazals

In My collage days I used to be a big fan of Pankaj Udhas....Ghoongroo tutgaya and Diwaron se are my all time favorites......Thanks for posting this.......

this gazal made me remember my days when we just joined in the bank .the first taste of self earned money ...and purchasing books ,cassettes ....ofcourse sarees as well .
easy flowing gazals of pankaj udhas were favourites of our group .a quiet evening  after days work ,reclining and resting with the gazal floating around ........ah those were some days

Finally, you confessed that you sing.  That's cool.  BTW, instead of 'thande thande paani se nahana chahiye' you were singing 'deewaron se milkar rona achcha lagta hai'. Were you forced to take a bath before leaving for school?? Just curious. Cheers!! Happy bathroom singing :))

I used to keep singing (bathroom singing) 1st line in school days or when i felt low. I knew only 1st line and had no idea who sang or what film...Thanks to you i got a chance to listen to full song and i enjoyed it.
