[P.S. Pankaj Udhas is famous for singing film songs like Chhithi Aayi Hai and ghazals like Chandi Jaisa Rang Hai Tera but this ghazal -- Deewaron Se Milkar Rona -- is my most favourite piece sung by him. I heard this ghazal for the first time at school when a senior from our 'house' sang it beautifully at the morning assembly. I don't think I could actually get the meaning or thought of the poetry back then, but I had liked the ghazal. I remember having hunted the singer (Panjak Udhas) and buying a cassette to listen to the ghazal. Later I bought many cassettes of Pankaj Udhas' ghazals. Some were good. Most were about 'saaqi' and 'jaam' and 'maikhana' that I found uninteresting. Udhas' song Jiyen To Jiyen Kaise Bin Aapke from film Saajan was also a hit and is one of my favourites. The song/video of Aur Aahista Kijiye Batein from his private album also got popular. It had been ages since I heard Pankaj's voice. I hope you would like the ghazal posted here.
