(P.S. This film was a major musical hit of the year and established Rajesh Khanna as a successful actor. The songs 'Roop Tera Mastana' and ' Mere Sapno Ki Raani Kab Aayegi Tu' are a favourite with the old and young alike. I had read somewhere that while composing the music for the song 'Mere Sapno Ki Raani' S D fell sick. When he came back to work, R D Burman and Kishore Kumar had made changes in the music. S D loved it and retained it. Some even say that the music for all the songs of 'Aradhana' was composed by RD and not his father.
'Kora Kagaz Tha Ye Mann Mera' and 'Bagon Mein Bahaar Hai' also topped the charts but it was for his touching rendition of 'Safal Hogi Teri Aradhana' that fetched SD Burman a National Award. 'Gunguna Rahe Hain' was picturized on Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore.)
